VILLA SAHARA
The penthouse embraces the raw elegance of the dark Sahara, translating its dramatic landscapes into a refined contemporary interior. The flooring is in hammered basalte stone, its dark, matte surface grounding the space with a quiet strength. The walls are finished in a rich dark brown plaster from Matteo Brioni for earthy texture, warmth and adding a sense of intimacy.
Against this palette of deep desert tones, a striking contrast emerges with Calacatta marble accents. Its bright surface and veining soften the weight of darker materials, creating brightness reminiscent of the shimmering flats of the Sahara. Appearing in statement pieces entrance cladding, tables, and bathtus it becomes a focal point that elevates the raw finishes into understated luxury.
Adding curtains as a design element introduces an Arabic touch, their flowing textures and layered presence echoing the softness of desert winds and the intimacy of traditional spaces, further enhancing the cultural depth of the interior. The overall is both minimal and dramatic. The penthouse feels like a sanctuary: grounded, sophisticated, and infused with the timeless rhythm of the Sahara’s palette.
